In August 2021, a resident of Taraz, an employee of the state enterprise "Taraz Su" Darkhan Kozhakhmetov handed a coin of the VII-VIII centuries. Darkhan Kozhakhmetov accidentally found the ancient artifact while working on Suleimenov street and donated it to the museum fund. Museum experts, who studied the features and period of creation, attributed the coin to the VII-VIII century.
