Monitoring Work at Nametbay Mosque
Regular monitoring work continued at the Nametbay mosque. Located at the intersection of Tashkent and Bayzak Batyr streets in Taraz. Built in the early 20th century. For many years it served as a major religious and spiritual center of the city. Around the 1930s it was used as state property — a warehouse and for other needs. The roof is traditionally built from wooden logs. It has faceted columns tapering upward. The form of the log frames is complex, with columns having rounded bases toward the center of the ayvan (veranda). The ornaments of the walls, columns, and prayer room are mainly in blue, red, and green colors. The ceiling ornament of the ayvan is particularly noteworthy, where the log and sub-log sections are distinguished by plant patterns, with sky-blue color predominating, while red is applied only to the ornament and along the belt perimeter.
