“CONNECTING THROUGH HERITAGE”: NETWORKING BETWEEN MUSEUMS AND NATURAL RESERVES

The State Historical and Cultural Museum‑Reserve “Monuments of Ancient Taraz” was attended by the heads and leading specialists of museums and museum‑reserves in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen professional ties, exchange experience in preserving and presenting historical and cultural heritage, discuss new approaches to developing museum work, and pave the way for joint projects.
The programme covered issues related to the protection of monuments, archaeological research, digitization of museum activities, the use of artificial intelligence, and the creation of modern exhibitions. Experts in the fields of history, archaeology, museum studies, and cultural heritage conservation shared their experience and suggestions.
The event concluded with a tour of the historical and cultural sites of Taraz. The participants visited the mausoleums of Karakhan, Dautbek, Aisha Biby, Babaja Khatun, Tekturmas, and the Akyrtas architectural and archaeological complex, and learned about their history and distinctive features.
