The grand opening of a traveling exhibition took place in the Mangystau Regional Museum of Local Lore

The grand opening of the traveling exhibition "Taraz - the Pearl of the Great Silk Road", organized by the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz", took place today at the Mangystau Regional Museum of Local Lore named after Abish Kekilbayevich.

Director of the Mangystau Regional Museum of Local Lore named after Abish Kekilbayevich, Candidate of Historical Sciences Elvira Ablanova and Chief curator of the foundation of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" Aidana Zhanbosynova spoke at the opening of the exhibition, who noted the importance of preserving and popularizing historical and cultural heritage.

The exhibition featured coins from the time of the Turgesh Khaganate, the Karakhan state, the Kokand Khanate and the Chinese state, bronze and ceramic items found during archaeological excavations, silver jewelry, beads made of various stones, as well as original bricks from the mausoleums of Karakhan and Aisha Bibi.
