"Know and Love Your Region!"

Guided by the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan "Kazakhstan in the New Reality: Time for Action," which places special emphasis on developing the creative potential of the younger generation and resuming club activities, a historical and regional studies club was established in September of this year at the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz". Classes with school students and young adults are united by the theme "Know and Love Your Region!"

The club also includes students from regional centers of extracurricular education, creative, and art centers. The next club session was held with students of the "LIS" club — the "Art Lovers" club, which has been led for almost 25 years by talented artist-teacher Gulnar Kospakova.

During a two-day session, club members had the wonderful opportunity to first learn about the history of ancient Taraz, and then, on the second day, transfer everything they heard and saw onto their canvases, paint ceramic fragments with historical scenes, thus connecting with the centuries-old history of their region!
