The "Young Archaeologists" Event Was Organized

The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Monuments of Ancient Taraz” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the “Danalyk” Public Foundation, organized the event “Young Archaeologists” for students of City School No. 53 at the “Ancient Taraz” archaeological park, a bastion of spiritual values, within the framework of the “Asyl Mura” project. The main goal was to promote the precious heritage and wisdom of our ancestors, to explain and demonstrate it scientifically and culturally to the younger generation, as well as to convey valuable treasures with the help of specialists and teach children research and creative skills.

During the event, the following activities were held: an archaeological exhibition, excursions to the “Karakhan”, “Dautbek”, and “Tekturmas” mausoleums, a master class from an archaeologist specialist, an exchange of opinions, and children were given time for their own research. The children’s sincere impressions were reflected on their pure faces.

The schoolchildren also expressed their warm feedback: “We took a journey into the history of the “Ancient Taraz” settlement, part of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Monuments of Ancient Taraz”. We learned a great deal about the history of the Taraz land. We saw with our own eyes the artifacts found during archaeological excavations and participated in an improvisation of archaeological digs. We were convinced that every mountain, every stone of the Taraz steppe is full of legends. Monuments are the heritage of the nation, and we express our gratitude to the reserve team for their contribution to protecting and preserving the monuments of the region.”
