Chinese Visitors Explored the History of Taraz

Yesterday, foreign tourists visited the "Ancient Taraz" archaeological park. Guests from Fuzhou city, Fujian province (China) learned much about the history of ancient Taraz. Guide Nazira Bakhytkyzy told them about the history of the open-air park's opening and that an ancient city once stood here, detailing the history of numerous items found during excavations.

It should be noted that in 2011-2017, archaeological excavations were conducted at this very site, during which over 4,000 artifacts attesting to ancient city life were discovered. Two burials were also uncovered, yielding women's jewelry and several gold, silver, and copper coins. Today, two caravanserais, a madrasa, bathhouse and dungeon, a bread oven, and other ancient household items continue to attract visitors' interest.
