Excursion Dedicated to Independence Day

The "Taraz-Tourism" Tourist Information Center of the Tourism Department of the Zhambyl Region Akimat organized an excursion for Children's Home No. 1 named after K. Sarymoldaev to the sites of the State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz," dedicated to the celebration of "December 16 — Independence Day." During the excursion, museum-reserve employees told about the construction history of the Aisha Bibi and Babaja Khatun mausoleums — jewels of the Middle Ages adorning the city — and introduced the Karakhan and Dauitbek (Shomansur) mausoleums.
The purpose of the educational excursion is to familiarize students with the attractions, tourism potential, and opportunities of the Zhambyl region, promote the study of history and formation of a healthy generation, and foster a sense of civic-patriotic and conscious social responsibility among youth. Children listened with interest to the fascinating and informative details about the history of the ancient Taraz settlement.
