Senators at Aisha Bibi Mausoleum

A group of senators from the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Aisha-Bibi mausoleum near Taraz, which today sees a constant flow of tourists. Our team's guide Akgul Altynbekova introduced the guests, led by Senator Ali Bektayev, to the history of the mausoleum.

The guests were told about several versions of the legend of Aisha-Bibi, her connection to Karakhan, and in which century the mausoleum was built.

The senators also familiarized themselves with the main activities of the "State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve 'Monuments of Ancient Taraz'" and received information about the 30 historical monuments under its administration.
