Ramadan is the sultan of the twelve months, a month of abundance and forgiveness. In this month, the light of faith enters the heart of a person occupied with daily concerns. For fasting teaches a person piety. Noble human qualities such as patience, charity, compassion, and brotherhood are strengthened, and faith is fortified. The stronger a person's faith, the more they purify themselves from vices. Ramadan is a blessed month when Allah's mercy pours forth, the gates of paradise open wide, and an opportunity to strengthen faith is given. This is a great gift and blessing from our Creator.
