Online video lecture

Today, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" conducted an online video lecture on the topic "Ancient Taraz — City of Eternity" for 9th-grade students of General Education School No. 151 in the Alatau district of Almaty, delivered by the institution historian Ibadildayeva Madina. During the video lecture, the history of the Ancient Taraz settlement was told — a sacred and revered place with over two thousand years of history, connecting past and present, a city of eternity, a major spiritual center holding a special place in world civilization, as well as the history and legends of 30 historical and cultural sites under the museum-reserve. Additionally, in connection with the 175th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev, who said "Zhambyl is my ordinary name, the People is my true name," the life of the poet and the history of the monument erected in his honor were recounted.
