Mukhtar Shakhanov on the Land of Auliata

The prominent Kazakh poet and public figure Mukhtar Shakhanov visited the land of Aulieata.

Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, People’s Writer of Kazakhstan and People’s Poet of Kyrgyzstan Mukhtar Shakhanov visited the historical and cultural sites belonging to the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Monuments of Ancient Taraz” of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. First of all, an excursion was conducted for the honored guests, during which the history of the construction of the “Karakhan” and “Aisha Bibi” mausoleums was told — symbols of medieval love located in the Aulieata region with deep historical roots — along with legends preserved in the people’s memory since time immemorial. The history of the city of Taraz was also described in detail, and valuable artifacts found during archaeological excavations at the “Ancient Taraz” archaeological park were demonstrated. The guests were very pleased to learn about the history of the Zhambyl region, whose instructive history and great culture have amazed many since ancient times. Having visited the sacred and majestic architectural sites, they offered prayers and departed.
