The event Pride of the Nation – Great Zhambyl was held
Today, in honor of the 175th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev — the mighty tree of Kazakh poetry — an event "Pride of the Nation — Great Zhambyl" was held, aimed at broadly promoting the poet works, systematizing his rich legacy, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism through songs celebrating national unity.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Museum Director Nurlan Duisenalievich Bykybayev.
Writer, dramatist, publicist Alimzhan Yelen Abduatuly, Director of the Regional Directorate for the Protection and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments Kuanysh Karibayev, member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Yeset Dosaly, and Khamit Yesamanuly, correspondent of the republican newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan" in Zhambyl region, shared historical and new facts about the life and work of the great poet.

An exhibition "World of Zhambyl" was organized, revealing the life and creativity of Zhambyl Zhabayev, and actors of the Zhambyl Regional Kazakh Drama Theatre presented a theatrical performance "Image of Zhambyl — the Giant of Song".
Guests were presented with special publications of the Museum-Reserve and statuettes dedicated to the anniversary of the great poet.
