National Tenge – Symbol of the Country's Independence

On November 15, National Currency Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" organized a mobile exhibition at the Taraz Innovation Higher College on the theme "National Tenge — Symbol of the Country's Independence," featuring numismatic artifacts discovered during archaeological excavations at the ancient Taraz settlement. The exhibition displayed over 100 coins and ceramic items from various periods. Turgesh, Karakhanid, and Samanid coins attracted particular interest from students. Artifacts proving the existence of monetary circulation along the Great Silk Road are carefully preserved by museum staff like the apple of their eye and are passed on to future generations.
