An Excursion Was Conducted for Students of the "Local Studies" Club

Today, students of the "Local History" club from Merke district visited the sites belonging to the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz." During the excursion, museum-reserve staff told folk legends about the Karakhan (Aulie-Ata) and Dautbek (Shomansur) mausoleums - religious monuments that adorn the city. Next, students were introduced to the history of the city of Taraz - an ancient city and major spiritual center - at the "Ancient Taraz" archaeological park. Additionally, all information was shared about the Kali Zhunis bathhouse - a unique architectural monument - and the Tekturmas mausoleum.
