Immersed in the Secrets of Ancient Taraz

Today, scientific department staff members Karibekova Akdidar and Gulmaral Kambar of the museum-reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" conducted lectures at M.Kh. Dulati Taraz University. Two lectures for 1st-year Journalism and History students were very interesting. The first was titled "Ancient Taraz: Past and Present," the second — "The Bathhouse Left by Zhunis-bai."

The unembellished history of medieval monuments and previously unpublished facts in Gulmaral Ushkempirkyzy's lecture surprised the freshmen. Akdidar Zhanibekkizy's lecture aimed to examine the stages of Taraz's historical development and reveal its cultural and economic significance. Past and present of urban civilization were compared, noting the need to preserve and study historical heritage.

Senior lecturer Aknur Kobesova suggested students do their internship at our institution.
