A Thousand and One Nights in the Ancient City

Within the framework of the state program "Rukhani Zhangyru" and the republican "Museum Parade" campaign, on the night of October 18-19, 2019, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" organized a theatrical event "Night at the Museum" entitled "A Thousand and One Nights in the Ancient City" at the "Ancient Taraz" historical and cultural complex in Taraz.

Museum-Reserve Director Bykybayev Nurlan Duisenalievich opened the event with a welcoming speech, emphasizing its importance for studying deep history and calling on residents to actively participate. Speakers included Bolat Bekzhanov, Director of the Zhambyl Regional Kazakh Drama Theatre, Sailaukhan Ashanov, member of the Regional Veterans Council, Bakytbek Kasymov from the "Ordabasy" State Historical and Cultural Reserve, and Kuanysh Nurmaksutov from the "Tanbaly" State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, who noted the significant contribution of such events to understanding national history and strengthening the patriotic spirit of society.

According to the program, visitors immersed themselves in the historical atmosphere of the "city of merchants and craftsmen," witnessed the story of batyr Karakhan and the beautiful Aisha-Bibi, walked alongside revived images of historical figures in the museum space, and took photos with colorful installations. More than 3,000 city residents and guests attended the event. Active participants were awarded Letters of Gratitude and valuable gifts.
