Online Seminar for the 100th Anniversary of K.A. Akyshev "Suleiman-TOO"

On February 15, 2024, the State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a republican online seminar on the topic "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" for employees of the National Historical-Archaeological Museum Complex "Suleiman-Too" of the Kyrgyz Republic, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Kazakh archaeologist K. A. Akishev.
Purpose of the online seminar: in 2021, a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed between the museum-reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" and the "Suleiman-Too" museum complex of the Kyrgyz Republic for the development of the museum sphere at the interstate level. Under the Memorandum, colleagues discussed joint plans, issues of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, and promotion of historical-cultural monuments linked by the shared historical past of the Great Silk Road. Additionally, museum-reserve staff presented the contribution, role, and significance of the city of Taraz in world culture, as well as the historical-cultural monuments of the Zhambyl region included in the list of international and republican heritage sites.
