Online Lecture for the 100th Anniversary of K.A. Akyshev "Characteristic of the Islamic Era: Karakhan and Aisha Bibi Mausoleums"

The State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a republican online lecture on the topic "Characteristic of the Islamic Era: Karakhan and Aisha Bibi Mausoleums" for employees of the Ulytau National Historical-Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh archaeologist K. A. Akishev.
The purpose of the online lecture: to introduce the construction history of medieval architectural monuments — the Karakhan, Dauitbek, Aisha Bibi, and Babaja Khatun mausoleums, which are monuments of urban planning and architecture of republican significance, their legends and stories, as well as their contribution to Turkic culture. Additionally, during the online lecture, specialists exchanged experiences, paving the way for new ideas and strengthening cooperation between two republican museum-reserves.
The online lecture covered the following topics:
- Taraz — a city where past and future meet
- Karakhan Mausoleum — the finest monument of medieval architecture in Kazakhstan
- Aisha Bibi Mausoleum — an eternal symbol of love
