"Without Unity There Is No Life"
In connection with the Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan on May 1, on April 30, 2021, employees of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Museum "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" under the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guided by the principle "Without unity there is no life," carried out sanitary cleaning and landscaping on the territory of the reserve museum sites: "Taraz Settlement," and the mausoleums "Karakhan" and "Aisha Bibi"–"Babadzha Khatun," while observing sanitary and quarantine measures.
On October 18, 1995, by decree of the First President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, May 1 was declared the Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan. The holiday has been celebrated since 1996. Genuine friendship among peoples is ensured in Kazakhstan. This day is considered one of the largest holidays for the people of Kazakhstan. May 1 is celebrated in virtually all regions of the country. The purpose of the holiday is to strengthen mutual respect among representatives of various nationalities and religions within the country, and to promote harmony, unity, and shared values. A nation striving for prosperity never tires of creating a festive life. For a people adhering to the principle "The foundation of prosperity is unity, and harmony within the country means peaceful life," this holiday holds a special place.
