Witness of Ancestral History – Ancient Taraz

In connection with the declaration of 2022 as the Year of Children by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Monuments of Ancient Taraz”, subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is organizing the grand opening of the traveling exhibition “Witness of Ancient History — Ancient Taraz”.

A traveling exhibition of valuable and unique artifacts found at the ancient Taraz settlement will be prepared for the residents and guests of Otyrar. The exhibition will feature Sogdian-style ceramic jugs from the 8th–9th centuries, medieval tableware ceramics: jugs, plates, small pitchers, lids, water vessels; mustakhara (flask), sphero-conical vessels, lamps, beads, silver, nephrite, and bronze belt fittings, and coins from various periods.
