Large-Scale Work on the Karakhan Territory
07.02.2025
The sole motto of Berik Zhusipov, head of the enterprise "Monuments of Ancient Taraz," regarding cleanliness is: your workplace and public sites must be cleaner than your own home. The director does not just say this — he personally gets to work in any weather, summer or winter. Our new year has again begun with such labor. Today, a scheduled cleanup was carried out at the Karakhan mausoleum territory: vehicles were deployed, and years of accumulated debris along large ditches was cleared. The area is vast — 3.7 hectares, but hands are scarce. If there are organizations or volunteers willing to come with their equipment and workers to help clean this sacred site, we welcome them.
Some may think: "What is this endless struggle?" Yes, the reason it is endless is that this waste has been accumulating for 5-6, perhaps 10-15 or more years. Having sorted out the enterprise's legal matters, the director started the new year with renewed vigor. We wish the team success! Regrettably, much of this waste comes from some residents around the Karakhan mausoleum who dump it under cover of night. Dear residents, we kindly ask: treat the sacred territory with special respect, appreciate the labor of our institution's workers, and keep it clean!
