"The Past and Present of Taraz" for State School No. 9

Employees of the State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" under the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a mobile exhibition and conducted an educational lecture on the topic "Past and Present of Taraz" at KGU "Secondary School No. 9 of the Education Department of the city of Taraz, Education Administration of the Zhambyl Region Akimat." During the lecture, students were told the unique history of the 30 historical-cultural monuments of republican significance under the museum-reserve, as well as legends and stories associated with the mausoleums.

Artifacts found during archaeological excavations were presented to students. In particular, the dating, manufacturing techniques, and purposes of ceramic and metal items found in cultural layers of various periods were explained.

National values are moral principles passed down from generation to generation over centuries, embedded in the foundation of every nation. The main purpose of the mobile exhibition and lecture is to promote and popularize among the younger generation the valuable artifacts — treasures of the people passed down from century to century, the spiritual wealth of our nation.
