Traveling Exhibition on "Heritage of the Ancestors" for students of School-Lyceum No. 3

On November 7, 2023, employees of the State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" organized a mobile exhibition on the theme "Legacy of Ancestors" and conducted an educational lecture on the topic "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" for students of the city school-lyceum No. 3. The purpose and significance of the educational lecture, as well as the value and meaning of the monuments, were explained by specialists of the scientific department Madina Mananbaikyzy and Gulmaral Ushkempirkyzy.

First, the history of the city of Taraz was presented — a monument of ancient eras, a major spiritual center with over two thousand years of history. Then the audience was introduced to the unique history of 30 historical-cultural monuments of republican significance, as well as various legends and stories associated with the mausoleums. Additionally, students were told about the history of the settlement and valuable artifacts found during archaeological work at the open-air "Ancient Taraz" park. The mobile exhibition featured numerous artifacts: ceramic ware, jugs, cauldrons, mercury vessels, bronze lamps, water pipes, green, white, brown plates, sets of coins, and inkwells from the Karakhanid state period. At the conclusion of the event, school teachers expressed their gratitude to the museum-reserve staff and presented a certificate of appreciation.
