May 18 is the "International Museum Day!"

Today, in the era of globalization, one of the important and responsible tasks is to inform the population of the history of our country of plans and deeds to strengthen independence. In this regard, museums play an important role in bringing the centuries-old history of our people to the next generation. The museum is a scientific, cultural and historical center, a place of preservation of artistic heritage. Museum-teaches you to love and understand the cultural and spiritual heritage of your country and world civilization. The holiday was approved by the International Council of Museums in 1977. In 1997, German museums were the first to open their doors to visitors at night. In 2006, Kazakhstan joined the international action "Night of Museums".

The state historical and cultural museum-reserve "Yezhelgi Taraz eskertkishteri" organized an event called "Journey to the world of the Middle Ages!" dedicated to the Year of Children in Kazakhstan in honor of the traditional holiday.

An exhibition consisting of national headdresses of 66 countries, and a Chinese tea ceremony that came to us along the Great Silk Road in the middle ages, decorated the festive event.

The next part was a theatrical performance of the Zhambyl regional kazakh drama theater named after A. Tokpanov "Karakhan and Aisha Bibi", acquaintance of medieval travelers with our holy city.

National sports games, such as the art of kylyshtasu, asyk ata, kazaksha kures, skillfully demonstrated by athletes, aroused great interest among children.

In the final part, the award ceremony of the distinguished employees of the museum-reserve followed, the wonderful playing of children on traditional musical instruments, the performance of folk songs and the beautiful melodies of the singers of the Zhambyl regional philharmonic named after Kenen Azerbayev aroused the admiration of the townspeople.
