On October 29, the Ministry of Culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a republican seminar "National Onomastics: Research and practice" in Taraz. The purpose of this event was to discuss topical issues in the field of onomastics and develop proposals for improving the activities of the regions in this area.

Within the framework of the seminar, the staff of the Republican historical and cultural museum-reserve "Yezhelgi Taraz eskertkishteri" presented to the participants of the seminar a traveling exhibition "Tarazdyn tarikhi-madeni kundylyktary", which represents the most valuable and unique exhibits discovered during archaeological excavations of the ancient settlement of Taraz. The traveling exhibition was visited by vice-minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.M. Daueshov, members of the Republican Onomastic Commission, heads of regional departments for language development, experts, as well as other representatives of interested central and local executive bodies.
