In this regard, employees of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" of the Committee for Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the house of 98-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War Bazarbai Burbayev, where they congratulated the old man on the Great Victory Day.
Bazarbai Burbayev was born on December 10, 1924 in the city of Zhambyl. He studied at the Kaganovich School. In 1942 he was drafted into the army. He was a mortar man in the 393rd Rifle Regiment. Participated in the liberation of Manchuria, Mugden, Harbin and other cities. For courage and bravery, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star, medals "For the Victory over Japan". He returned from Manjuria in 1947. From 1949 to 1988 he worked as a machinist at the Zhambyl locomotive depot. He was also awarded the "Veteran of Labor" medal.
