A story without barriers

The 25th anniversary of the Zhambyl regional special correctional boarding school "Meirim" for deaf and hard of hearing children has turned today!

With the State historical and cultural museum-reserve "Yezhelgi Taraz eskertkishteri"  and "Meirim" binds long-term cooperation. The staff of the museum-reserve annually visit the boarding school with thematic traveling exhibitions and willingly meet its pupils with excursions at their historical and cultural sites. All the activities carried out are successfully provided with high-quality sign language translation by the teachers of the boarding school, which makes it more accessible to the wide popularization of the heritage of the region for the pupils.

In addition, the staff of the reserve provided methodological assistance in building expositions of the museum at the boarding school. Numerous fragments of ceramics from the ancient settlement of the same name have found their place in the expositions of this museum, which tells about the ancient history of Taraz.

The event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the boarding school "Meirim" was attended by the director of the museum-reserve N.D. Bykybaev, who presented the management of the boarding school with the collection "Zhambyl oblysy boyynsha Republikalyk manyzy bar tarikh zhane madeniyet eskertkishteri" and numerous brochures. A festive concert was also prepared by the pupils of the boarding school. In turn, the teaching staff of the boarding school "Meirim" thanked the staff of the museum-reserve for the long-term friendship and support of the pupils.
