Today, the staff of the State historical and cultural reserve-museum "Monuments of ancient Taraz" made a trip to the medieval settlement of Merke, which is under the jurisdiction of the museum-reserve. The heads of the reserve-museum met with the local executive authorities, in particular with the akimat of the Merken district and inspectors. Topical issues related to the preservation of the medieval settlement of Merke, in particular the territory adjacent to the settlement, were discussed. In order to widely popularize the monument of historical and cultural heritage, it is necessary to have a clear interaction of the reserve-museum with local executive bodies, only then we can guarantee that this monument will be preserved and restoration, research work will be carried out.
